Tokyoto is a modular typeface inspired by Japan: the curling waves of ukiyo-e prints, temple-roof ornaments, and the style of Tokyo and Kyoto signage. Every letter is built from a single repeating hook-shaped module that links into its neighbours, giving the letterforms a distinct rhythm as they run together.
The typeface comes in five styles: Dott, Bubble, Point, Roll and Flower, sharing the same underlying geometry but each giving the "knot" of every letter a different character, from a fine dot and a dotted outline to a bubbled, flowered, and fully rolled ribbon texture. The font is uppercase only, emphasizing the architectural, almost hieroglyph-like presence of each letter.
Perfect for: branding & logos, posters, editorial layouts, packaging design, apparel graphics, social media content, stickers & merchandise, music covers, creative headlines, emoji set, etc.
