Dukat Typeface

Dukat is an experimental display typeface inspired by modularity and decorativeness of Vyaz — a historic decorative script used in Ukrainian manuscripts. Another source of inspiration was weathered vinyl signage that slowly peels and disappears, turning letterforms abstract and ornamental. Letter in each style remains the same width reflecting how real vinyl letter could look like in the beginning and how destructured it became with the time.
